2008 HACHETTE WINE GUIDE : A music lover and a musician, Daniel Chotard likes to organize musical events. But that doesn’t interfere with the care he gives to his vines and winemaking. The proof: this 2006 rosé with its silver tinged salmon pink colour, redolent of delicate yet typical aromas. The first nose shows amylic notes that open up to fruity nuances of cherry. Powerful and round, this is the perfect rosé to serve with grilled meats.
2007 GILBERT ET GAILLARD GUIDE : Sancerre blanc scored 86/100: pale yellow in colour with green highlights. Very pure nose reminiscent of citrus (grapefruit). Fresh, fleshy and flavourful on the palate with the same typicity as on the nose. A typical, lively Sancerre with good length.
Sancerre rouge Champ de l'Archer scored 88/100: Deep garnet in colour with a slight tinge of brick. Superb nose reminiscent of garden fruit (blackcurrant, redcurrant...). Magnificent, velvety, and silky on the palate with freshness and flavours that echo the exuberant aromas perceived on the nose. An excellent red Sancerre.
